Basak Yilin COLAK defended his thesis at the Jean Monnet University of St Etienne on November 14, 2014:

"Use of milk proteins for the production of active films for packaging: study of gas barrier, antibacterial and biodegradable properties. "

This research work received a Doctoral Research Grant from the Rhône-Alpes Region as part of the Rhône Alpes Region research cluster (MACODEV: Materials and Design for Sustainable Development) (now integrated into the ARC (Community of Academic Research) Environment)

The thesis was mainly carried out on the St Etienne site of the IMP, and was co-supervised by Dr Frédéric PROCHASZKA of the IMP and Pascal DEGRAEVE. Sophie GALLAND co-supervised with Pascal DEGRAEVE (contribution from BioDyMIA: antimicrobial functionalization).
